What is Migranco, exactly?
Migranco (Мигранько) is a toolkit for people who are seriously thinking about moving abroad -- including, let's be honest, the ones who've been “seriously thinking” about it for three years.
Most relocation resources fall into one of two camps: dry government visa information that reads like it was written by someone who has never moved anywhere, or lifestyle content written by people who moved to Bali and now monetise their “freedom.” Neither is particularly useful when you're trying to figure out if you can actually afford to move to Lisbon, whether the D7 visa makes sense for your income, or whether you even genuinely want to leave -- or just want to leave your current situation.
We are building a third thing. Honest, data-informed, occasionally funny, and built around the reality that migration is not a personality trait -- it's a process. It involves bureaucracy, financial planning, language considerations, family conversations, and at least one spreadsheet.
We start with Audience 1: the overthinkers. The people who have compared four countries in one tab, opened a visa requirements page they haven't finished reading, and told at least one friend they're “seriously considering it.” This is not a judgement. This is a demographic. And they need a different kind of help than a Condé Nast travel piece can provide.
We'll add more over time: tools for people who are decided but blocked, tools for people who just want a better climate and not a life crisis, community features, real partner data, and a content library built on actual expat experience rather than affiliate link incentives.
For now: take the quiz. Browse the destinations. Build the spreadsheet. We'll be here when you're ready.
Data sources: Numbeo, Expatica, Relocate.me, MyVisaJobs, official embassy and government immigration portals. Updated periodically.
